Auction Roundup
Just a word of gratitude for such an amazing “Shepherding the Future” parish school auction this past Saturday evening. Just running through the numbers:

  • We sold out on attendance (273 tickets) with around 260 actually present.
  • 198 items were auctioned off, with 60 ‘Live Auction’ items.
  • After expenses are finalized, the profit of the auction will be in the ballpark $65,000. I’m told this is up about $10,000 from last year. This is tremendous.
  • There was a large number of volunteers – estimated 40-45 pitched in at least some time, with many giving well over 20 hours of time.

I want to give a special note of appreciate to our co-chairs, Laura Vaughn and Kathy Huskey, and to their families. I’m afraid to even begin to tally the time, the effort, the talent they so generously put into making this auction possible. If you see them, please thank them… and perhaps offer them a prayer and a cup of coffee as they continue to recover from such herculean effort!
